Plumón doesn't run a background updater. This page is the update channel: check back here for the latest notarized build. There's nothing installed that phones home to check for you.
Before you install
A few things people ask
Do I need to allow anything the first time I open it?
Because Plumón is signed and notarized, macOS should open it normally like any other downloaded app. If your Mac shows a warning anyway, right-click the app and choose Open once; that only needs to happen the first time.
Does it ask for Screen Recording permission?
Yes. macOS requires Screen Recording access for any app that captures your screen, including Plumón. You'll be prompted once, and can review or revoke it anytime in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording.
